What is the difference between Duologue and Superhuman?
The difference is the unit of work. Superhuman Mail is organized around the inbox. Duologue is organized around the account.
Superhuman Mail is an email client for Gmail and Outlook.1 It sorts incoming mail into a Split Inbox, and uses AI to label, archive, summarize and draft, so each email takes less time.2,3
A Duologue account is a running record of one company. It holds research on the account and its people, a timeline of what changed there, newest first, and every conversation across email and LinkedIn. It keeps building for as long as the deal runs.
That one choice shapes everything else. An inbox tool gets more useful the more email you handle. An account tool gets more useful the longer you work each account.
Superhuman helps you get through every email faster.Duologue helps you understand each account well enough to win it.
Superhuman asksHow do I get through this inbox, and answer what matters, in less time?
Duologue asksWhat has changed at this account, what does it mean for the deal, and how do we move it forward?
What Superhuman is built for
Superhuman Mail calls itself “the most productive email app ever made.”1 It is built for teams that use Gmail or Outlook, and says it saves teams over 20 million hours every year.1
A note on names. Grammarly announced it would acquire Superhuman in June 2025, and later renamed the whole company Superhuman.6,7 Today Superhuman is a suite that includes Mail, Docs (formerly Coda), Go and Grammarly.5 This article compares Duologue with Superhuman Mail, the email product. Superhuman Mail was founded in 2014 by Rahul Vohra.5
An email client built for speed
- Speed. Split Inbox, keyboard shortcuts, Autocorrect and Autocomplete, with a promise to “fly through your email twice as fast.”1
- AI that works the inbox. Auto Labels, Auto Archive, Auto Summarize, Instant Reply and Write with AI on every plan. Auto Drafts in your voice, and Ask AI across your inbox, calendar and the web, on Business and up.2,3
- Follow-ups. Remind Me, Auto Reminders, Send Later, and Read Statuses that show when and on which device an email was read.2,13
- Team features. Shared Conversations, Team Comments, Shared Drafts and reply indicators so two people do not answer the same email.2
- Calendar. Share availability, booking links, and Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, from the inbox.2
- Everywhere you work. Apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.14,15
Superhuman for sales teams
On the Business plan and up, Superhuman Mail adds a section for sales: Smart Send, which picks a send time from the recipient’s activity; Recent Opens; and CRM integrations.2 The sidebar shows HubSpot contacts, companies and deals, and Salesforce contacts, leads, accounts and opportunities, which you can view and update. Pipedrive is view only.9,10,11 The Contact Pane shows LinkedIn and other social profile data for personal email addresses.12
Superhuman also pitches its wider suite to sales teams. Superhuman Go offers competitive intel and strategy before sales calls, and its agents connect to apps such as Salesforce, Gong and Outreach.4
Superhuman Mail pricing
Starter costs $30 per user a month, or $25 billed annually. Business costs $40 per user a month, or $33 billed annually, and adds the AI drafting and sales features above. Both are capped at 25 seats. Enterprise pricing is custom.2
What Duologue is built for
Duologue is an account-native inbox for sales teams. Its core is research: a sourced, current picture of each account and the people in it, kept up to date for as long as a deal takes.
That depth matters more as selling gets harder. In our view, AI has raised the bar for buyers. They want use cases and value up front. They ask why they should buy rather than build it in-house, and why they should buy from you. Deals take more conversations, with more people, over more months, and priorities at the account shift along the way.
Duologue is built to keep up with that. It tracks what changes at each account, connects each change to the deal, and keeps every conversation on one thread.
Built to keep up with each account
- Activity timeline. Partnerships, pricing moves, launches, hires and funding, each with its date and source, newest first.
- What it means for the deal. Every entry comes with a line on why it matters. Ask what changed since your last touch, and Duologue answers with the updates, the selling angles and the business problems worth raising.
- Every fact sourced. Each fact points back to where it came from and the date it was read. Stale facts are flagged before you use them.
- One thread for the whole cycle. Email, LinkedIn messages, connection requests and InMails live on the same account thread, with call notes pulled in from your dialer.
- Continuity. When a rep leaves, the account thread and its research stay for the next rep.
- Your voice, when it is time to write. Duologue learns from your sent mail how you write to a CEO, a VP or a manager, and drafts to match. A rep reads every message before it sends.
What that means in practiceDuologue is built for deals that take many conversations over months: several stakeholders, shifting priorities, and a buyer who needs a clear case before they sign. It is built for sales work on accounts, not for clearing every email in a busy inbox.
Duologue vs Superhuman, side by side
Both products put AI into the place where sales conversations happen. They make different choices about what the work is built around, and those choices show up in every row below.
| Superhuman Mail | ||
|---|---|---|
| Built around | The inbox: every email, sorted and cleared fast | Accounts: a running record of each company and its people |
| Main job | Get through email faster, in Gmail or Outlook1 | Keep up with each account and move complex deals forward |
| Research | Contact Pane profile data for personal addresses; Ask AI across inbox, calendar and the web on Business3,12 | A sourced timeline of account changes, each with a line on why it matters to the deal |
| Over the sales cycle | Reminders, read statuses, and CRM records in the sidebar on Business2 | One thread per account for as long as the deal runs, kept when reps change |
| Channels | Email and calendar; we found no LinkedIn messaging1,2 | Email and LinkedIn (messages, connection requests, InMails), plus call notes from your dialer |
| AI drafting | Instant Reply and Write with AI; Auto Drafts in your voice on Business2 | Drafted from the account research, in each rep’s voice |
| Team work | Shared conversations, comments and drafts inside email2 | The account thread and its research carry over when reps change |

Should you choose Duologue or Superhuman?
Choose by the job that is costing you deals. If reps lose hours to email itself, that is a Superhuman job. If they keep up with email but lose track of what is changing at each account, that is a Duologue job.

Five questions to find your fit
Answer for how your team sells today, not how you would like it to sell.
Can you use Superhuman and Duologue together?
They answer different questions. Superhuman Mail is about getting through email. Duologue is about knowing and winning the accounts behind it.
A sales team could use Superhuman Mail for day-to-day email and Duologue for the accounts it works in depth. Superhuman Mail runs on top of your existing Gmail or Outlook account,1 so if you run both, check with each vendor how they work alongside the same mailbox, and keep one CRM as the system of record.
